Movement Studies
Movement Studies is a physical and intellectual exploration of movement. The foundation and primal concept of this workshop is influenced and developed from classical ballet, Improvisation Technologies developed by William Forsythe, the study of Anatomy and Biology. The workshop developed from the urge to look for freedom in movement; helping guide the participants to find freedom within restrictions of any dance techniques. Movement Studies is going back to what movement is and can grow to be, finding the essence of where lines, shapes, and emotions stems from within the body and it’s skeletal structure. It is understanding and deconstructing the anatomy of the body. The workshop develops the participant in become a critical, analytical swift decision maker when it comes to executing movement. Through the use of guided improvisation, the study engages the participants holistically in developing flexibility and strength not only physically, but mentally as well. This is beneficial and crucial when approaching choreography and performance.

Floor Work

Floor work is one the techniques/practice which helps the dancer/dance practitioner to be more aware of the floor surface and the gravitational pull. This is particularly important to identify this and then to be able to use the awareness and the counter-pull to respond with the body.
Release Technique
Tanzania
A dance technique that focus on breathing, muscle relaxation, anatomical considerations, and the use of gravity and momentum to facilitate efficient movement. A technique which really assist in connecting the inner self and translate the inside world (body) to the outside world (body) with ease.

Movement Composition
Composition is a constant practice, as with one change within a composition can utterly alter a narrative of the composition. Looking into body composition, object composition and the composition of the body and its movement in relation to the object and its structure/character(istics)
